Three Things We Learned In the NFL— Aw Forget It, Let’s Talk Tim Tebow:

  In this article it talks about one of today's great football player Tim Tebow. He said that if you want to be in the NFL you have to work hard.  Tim Tebow works hard and he believes in God.  He is always on the sidelines praying or talking about God.

There are three things the article kept saying about Tim Tebow.  He does not always do the best plays but he keeps trying.  He has good ability and he works hard.  He gives the credit to God when he wins.  A lot of people don't think that he is a great player.  But, I think that he is good.  I also like that he gives God the praise for what he does.  A lot of people would be better if they did that to.

I have to learn to use my ability and give God the praise.  Not just me that goes for everyone who wants to be good at something. A professional football player or anyone else can be better by working hard.  If you work hard and don't give up, you will be a winner.  If you believe in God and praise him, he will bless you. 

Tim Tebow knows the game of football.  The first thing is to learn the game. You have to know the game that means to learn how to play offense,defense, quart back,Kicker, and more. The second thing is to work hard. If you try or work at what you are doing you will never exceed that what you are doing. The last thing is the most imported thing of all practices. If you don't practices how will you be wonderful at anything at all so always practices every day all day. 

  I like this article in a christian's perspective because it teaches kids to work hard.

        

                  Secrets At Sea Essay
   Today I'm going to tell you about one of NY Times Best Seller's Lists book for kids. The book is called "Secrets At Sea" by a man named Richard Peck.  I have never read this book before. But I read is some day.  But until then let me just talk to you a little bit about it. Also some stuff about Richard Peck.


 The book is about mouse adventures with a mouse family. They are trying to go to (their lineage predates the dutch in the Hudson River Valley.) So they travel on a steamboat so that they can leave New York and live in London. So when they got to London they meet Queen Victoria. Also the Princess Louise Victoria's fourth daughter. And that is a little bit of stuff about the book. 


  Now let me talk to you about Richard Peck. Richard Peck was born on April 10 in 1934. He lived in Decatur Illinois. He was awarded the Newbery Medal in 2001. He made over 32 novels and Secrets At Sea was his 33 novel. Now you know about "Secrets At Sea."

     


    

iPhones and iPads top teen wish lists this Christmas

The article is about a study on what teenagers want for Christmas.  It was written by Philip Elmer-Dewitt.  I found it on CNN Money.com.  It says that a company called Piper Jaffray did some research about what teenagers want to get for Christmas.  They asked 5,700 teenagers questions.  11.2% want iPhones, iPads, and an iPod touch for Christmas.  The people did the same thing last year.  More teenagers want these cool products.  I want some of them too.  The story also said that the only thing teenagers want more than the iPhone and iPad is money and clothes.

Remains of Giant Dinosaur found in Antartica

The article is about the discovery of a dinosaur’s tail in Antartica.  It says that the bones of a dinosaur were found in the coldest place on Earth where penguins and seals now live.  They did not find the full skeleton.  The dinosaur is in the family of Titanosaur.  It was found on James Ross Island in Antargica.  The bones came from the dinosaur tail.  The people who found it were from Argentina.  They said the dinosaur lived 70 million years ago.

Three LSU football players selected first-team All-America

The story was written by Jim Kleinpeter in the Times Picayune.  LSU has a great football team.  Three of their players are going to be on the All-American team.  LSU has 13 wins and 0 losses.  The coach is Les Miles and he is proud of his players.  The three players are Morris Claiborne, Tyrann Mathieu, and Brad Wing.  Two of them play corner back.  The last guy is a punter.  They are all great players.  The story says that Mathieu is also one of the players who can earn the Heismann trophy.  This is a trophy that goes to the best player in football each year.

              (article 1)BRAC: Job growth in 2012
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) predicts that there will be job growth in the Baton Rouge area next year.  They  think Baton Rouge is coming out of the recession.  The article says that our city  could have up to 6,200 new jobs in 2012.  The jobs will be in education and health care.  The city will also get jobs in construction and other areas. Lots of people in Baton Rouge need jobs.

       (article 2) Jackman's 'Real Steel' is scrap metal  
David Germain gives a bad review about Real Steel. But I disagree with him.  He says that the movie has good directors and producers but does not have a good story.  He think that a movie about fighting robots is a bad idea.  The movie is also about a man who is a loser in robot boxing who has to be a farther to his son.  I saw the movie with my famliy.  I thought the story was great. A robot who was thrown away works hard and becomes a champion. The boy and his father become closer.

Houston Nutt  is  the coach for Ole Miss.  He was interviewed before his game with number one ranked LSU.  Nutt said that he admired the lsu coaching staff. Coach Nutt was be fired by Ole Miss.  He will still coach the last three games. His team has a record of two wins and eight losses.  He had to suspend two players before the game.  I not think they will win the game.  Coach  Nutt shows good sportmanship by saying good thing about LSU.

The football game with LSU vs. Alabama was the coolest college football game in history. Two teams against each other all wins no loses but after that game LSU showed Alabama that they are the team that wanted to win every game. Some people say that the game was “The game of the Century.” They are right it was the game of the century they have play against each other before but these one was best game they ever had. I hope they will have a great game against each other next year like they did this year like they do every year but like I said before LSU wanted to win every games this year and I hope they go to the Championship game this year and win who they have to play against in that game so that is all I have to say and don’t forget Go Tigers!

  David, age 14, and Steven, age 13, recently smuggled Bibles into China. Before the trip, the American teenagers were coached by an experienced smuggler who was joining them on the trip. David and Steven packed Bibles in backpacks that they carried on their backs. David made sure to pack some children’s Bibles for Chinese children. The boys carried their travel supplies in other bags. They hoped the officials in China would not search their backpacks, and they prayed for the success of their trip. “What happens if they catch one of us?” David and Steven asked their coach. “Let the authorities take the Bibles,” the coach answered. “That may distract the guards and allow the other smugglers to get in with their Bibles. Then you can meet each other at a pre-planned location later.”David and Steven arrived in China, and the time came for them to walk past the inspectors at the airport. “I wondered if they might shoot me or put me in jail,” said Steven. “They had guns.”Suddenly the officials pulled Steven out of the line, saying he was sick and they needed to take his temperature. “I knew he wasn’t sick,” said David. “I was afraid they found out he had Bibles.”“It made me nervous,” said Steven. The officials let Steven go after taking his temperature. The boys agreed that the scariest part of the trip was putting their travel bags on the scanner for the inspectors at the airport. But they made it through! The smugglers walked to a place where they had planned to meet a Chinese Christian. They met the Christian and then took a bus to a secret apartment. The Bibles would be stored at the apartment until they could be delivered to Christians who needed them. “The hardest part was walking up six stories to the apartment with our bags and not making any noise,” said David. “I got really sweaty and tired and out of breath. “It’s really stressful to smuggle Bibles. But I was thinking of the children who would get the Bibles.”

The Princess and the Frog

       Today I’m going to tell you about the black story of “The Princess and the Frog.” The story

started off at night in the wonderful city of New Orleans and we will see a huge house and will

see one woman and two little girls. One of the little girl name was Tia but a few years later she is

nineteen year girl with two jobs. When she was little she wanted to have her own restaurant. So

that is why she was working two jobs one of her jobs is being a waitress the other is being

aspiring chef. So as you can see she is a hard working woman. One day one of Tia’s friends

named Lottie and Lottie’s farther named Eli “Big Daddy” heard that Prince Naveen of Maldonia

was coming to New Orleans with his valet named Lawrence. Big Daddy let the prince stay will

with for a few days. They were having a party and Lottie needed Tia to make over 5,000 beignets

for the party. Lottie gave Tia enough money to get the place where she was going to build her

restaurant. Everything was going great but when Prince Naveen and Lawrence came to Orleans

they ran into the evil Doctor Facilier also named the “Shadow Man” he turned Naveen into a

frog. Lawrence was turned into the Prince. So when Tia kissed him she also turned into a frog.

They were both lost in the swamp were they meet an alligator named Louis. He had a drama to

play with the big boys. Tia told Louis that Naveen was turned into a frog and she did to. Then

Louis started to talk about Mama Odie. They asked him if he can take us to her to change them

back he’s glad to. They also meet a fly named Ray. Ray helped them by giving the right way to

go because Louis went the wrong way. They got to Mama Oldie’s home and she said that Lottie

had to kiss Naveen before midnight they would turns back into humans. So all of them got back

to New Orleans Tia killed the shadow man but before he was killed he killed ray. Ray died but

he was with the one he loved named Evangeline. Tia and Naveen were going stay frogs that

night. In the morning they got married they also turned back into humans. Tia got the restaurant

they got married and lived happy every after the end.

1. The first comic I read is called CURTIS/ by Ray Billingsley. It talks about two kids a boy named Curtis and a Girl named Michelle. So one day curtis went to go see michelle I'm not sure but, I think that they are friends or just neighbors. So any way curtis come to see her michelle opens the door and curtis said, " Wow Michelle, you certainly are red." He said that because she had red hiar and then michelle told him that she was in a red mood the day. She that red is also the color of life and then Curtis just started to laugh I did as well. Curtis said, "Girl, you are seven steps past out there." I think he meant that she looked silly. She told him red is the color of his blood she meanted that she was going to beat him up. When she said that Curtis said to himself it stopped being funny. I think that the arthur made this comic to make me laugh and to teach me lesson to not jude a book by it's cover.

  2. The second comic I read is called The wizard of ID by Parker and Hart.The kings works are telling the news One of the workers are talking about the weather. He saw that it will be a 10% change of rain. It started to rain and he said make that 100% change of rain. The wind started blowing and if the blew him away. Up next the Financial Report. The king makes a Joke saying " I hope it's more accurate.

 3. The third comic I read is called Hagar the Horrible by Chris Browne. Hagar is on his ship telling his men that they are going to battle. He is telling them that he is not a hard man. He even tells the other vikings that they can leave the ship. The joke is the ship is in the middle of a group of sharks.

                                                          Claude Monet
   Today I'm going to tell you about a man named Claude Monet.  This man was one of the world's greatest artist. He made over sixty-nine paintings.  It must have took him a long time just to complete one picture. His paintings were so beautiful to look at because of the colors.  He made his first painting in 1868  in Paris Fracne where he was born.  Claude Monet had a real enjoyment of art even as a child. 

   As you all ready now he was born Paris France.  He was born on November the 14 in 1840. The house that he lived in was so wounderful that it look like a hotel.  It had pond with so many fish, a huge graned, and so much more. His father wanted him to work in the family business.  Monet left the money behind and focused on being an artist.  He went from his family's money to living in poverty.  Well now you know about his childhood and his love for painting but on December the 5th the year 1926 was a day when Claude Monet stop doing painting for ever.

Before Claude Monet died, he left a lot of paintings.  He is known as the father of impressionism.  This is style of painting where the painting looks like what the eye sees.  Today Claude Monet's paintings sell for millions of dollars.

             

                               The Super Bowl 

       The is the most coolest football event in football history it has been around for about 1967 until now. Over a thousand of people will try to go and get tickets to this wonderful event. The super bowl is a event when two teams from the NFL come and play a each other and try to the champoship Trophy.

   Today I am going to tell you about a man named George Muller. George Muller was born on September 27 in the year 1805. He died on March 10 in 1898. George Muller was not just a Christian.  He was also a owner of his own orphanages in Bristol England. He took care of over 10,024 orphans in his life. It must have been hard to take care of all those kids. I just told you about his job now let me tell you more about him.

 George Muller was a hard working man.  He tried so hard to take care of all the kids. It was so hard that he didn't have enough food for all of the orphans. People that he knew tried to give him food he wouldn't take the food. Instead he asked God to bless him with food for the children. God saw the goodness in him. God heard him one time and the next day some trucks came to the orphanages with some food in them. So much food that there was enough food for every one. The chidren were so happy. He wrote alot of quotes but the one that I like is the that said that "If the Lord fails me at this time, it will be the first time."

 On the tenth of March in eighteen ninty-eight George Muller was the day that he died. His death is something that some people do not know but his life will in peoples lives. He has his own book named 'The Autobiography of George Muller." This man was a man of faith to people and God and christance every where. That is my Assigment on Goerge Muller.Pictures:

In the frist video it talks about how people in Africa make milk a lot better. The frist thing is to get the milk out of the cow. Next put in some sugar to make it more great. 1.World Religions: Noah is the person I choosed for my World Religions person. Noah was the one who built the ark in the bible times. The reason why he built the ark was because Jesus was going to flood the earth. So Jesus told him to take two of each animal and some people and get in the ark. Noah did every thing God told him to do. That why I choosed Noah as my World Religion person.

2. Science and Mathematics: Robots is the science and mathematics thing I choose. As you knew robots are machines that are cotrolled by computer so you can make them do things that you want it to do. About most of the robots are not built from humanliked they were built from a robottic arm. The word robot comes from the Czech word robota. Now you know all about robots.

  3.  Animals and Plants: The cobra is the thing I choose for my animal and plant. Cobras are the the third longest snake it is over six feet and two meters long. The cobra lives in three places and they are Africa,Southern Asia, and in the East Indies. The cobra is now as the hooded snake. Now you know about the cobra.
 
 4. History and Government: Civil rights is the thing I choose for my History and Government. Before black people became friends with the white people black people had to do because of white people. There was one black woman named Rosa Parks who got arrested for refusing to sit in the back of a bus. So as you can see white people were not fair to the black people for eighteen years. So now you know why I had choose civil rights for my history and government.

1.  Sports and Hobbies: Skateboarding is when people whichride on a skateboard and do cool tricks. Skateboarding has been around up in the 1930's in California.  Skatebroading is popularin all around worldwide.  There are contest on downhill ramps to see what kind of triks you  can do. That is skateboarding  for my sports and hobbies.

 

2. People: Michael Jackson (1958-2009) he was loved by all he was singer,dancer,and a
songwritter.  He made his frist Thriller in 1982 he's second one beat it  in 1980. He got him some help from his brothers.  He and he's brothers were called the Jackson 5.

 

3. Places:  Big Ben is the world's Largest  clock.  It was built in the 1858. It is over 316  feet (96 meters) tall. You can see it in the United Kingdom in England. That is my place. 

 

4.Arts: My  Arts is Dance. Dancing is when one or to people move to the beat of music. There are so mean types of dances like  Ballet performers,  Balinese mask-dancing, Flamenco dancing,  traditional dancing, and so much more. Dancing is one of the greatest arts of all time. You should try dancing you would like it.

Feature Story:  New York City is one of the most famous cities in the United States.  The Wikipedia website says that almost 47 million people went to New York City in 2007. 

The city is called the Big Apple.  According to Barry Popik, who did research, New York City had a lot of race courses.  The prize you won was called a apple.  If you won a big prize, it was a big apple.  There were lots of races to win prizes around New York City.

New York is a big city. A lot of people live and work there.  New York City is the third largest city in the United States with over 18 million people. People from all over the world live in New York City.

There are lots of things to do in New York City. They have baseball, shopping, museums, theater, and the Statue of Liberty.  The Statue of  Libery is in New York City. The Statue of Liberty is found Liberty Island.  It was built in October 28, 1886. The statue was a gift to the United States from the people of France. It is a symbol of freedom and democracy. 

Other important sites in New York City are the buildings one of  them is Empire State Building one of the tallest building in the world. It is 1,245 feet tall. The Grand Central Terminal is one the world's largest stane stracks in the worlded.
